Why do we, as humans, put so much value into attending the Friday night movie at the drive-in?
Why do people spend so much time pounding their brains over the literary work of Faulkner and Shakespeare?
I believe that people do the above things for a couple of reasons.
Creative expression touches people's hearts, makes them think, and provides them with hope in a way that nothing else in the world can. Why else would people have their favorites?
2. Advocate for living creative lives full of child-like wonder, joyful laughter, and Godly courage.
Life is not meant to be lived in a vacuum. God created humanity to be creative. So create. The creator of the universe is NOT Afraid of Culture. Live your life. Life is unpredictable and always surprising. Stepping outside your door takes a lot of courage. Don't let fear and shame prevent you from stepping into your destiny. Learn new skills; take your God-given dreams seriously. Finally, remember to laugh because laughter is the medicine of Heaven.
3. Encourage individuals to go "further up and further in."
God creates every life with purpose. He loves everything about who you are. There is a specific reason you are here on this earth right now. And, He wants to know you. The story of your life is compelling. It can change the world and is intricately woven into his beautiful love story of life-saving Grace.
